And We Are Off!

I hate to admit it, but it has taken a year for me to get back to building this web site.
Problem was, since I am a web designer/developer most of my time has been given over to clients and their sites. Thus by passing my one true passion, bird photography.

After much stress and deliberation from the past two weeks I decided I am pulling up my waders and going for it! I am not putting this project off any longer.

Its funny how life has a way of approving of what you do. Since the decision to go for this I have had two to three people emailing and asking if they could be a field contributor and others asking if they could submit articles from time to time.
Some have continuously ask if this site was ever going to go live again.

Well my friends, that day is here. I have opened the doors and now the fun begins. We still have a lot of work to do on the site during the building process but it is there for all to see.
Isn't it funny how picking up a camera or flipping through bird images of others makes the stress go away and the inspiration to start flowing.

And on another note!

Anyone wanting to be a regular filed contributor for your area, or just submit articles for our readers from time to time about Florida Birding, please contact me.

And to answer another question, no, this is not a printed magazine, not yet. However, there has been some interest from a certain publisher to perhaps do that in the future, so we shall see.

All the content on this site is free to read and enjoy.

Thanks for stopiing by and happy birding to you all!

Help Save Our Migratory Birds!
Each spring, millions of birds travel thousands of miles from Latin America and the Caribbean to their breeding grounds as far north as the Arctic. Months later, as the temperature drops and winter sets in, these migrants make the long trip back to warmer southern climates. These Neotropical migrants face increasing threats—habitat loss, invasive species, disease, and a changing climate.
